Background and Inspiration: Robert created this piece as 200 people watched. It was drawn from historical photos of downtown Dickson, including the Coca-Cola truck. The train is a Baldwin 2-4-2, which is more of an “Alpha” train. The eagle came from his own patterns. After removing a problem area on the right side of the picture, the guys watching him draw had ideas of the Halbrook building and the City Cab car in front. The picture is of the train station, bustling at night, because the train arrives at set times. So, kind of like 11 PM or 2 AM.
Robert credits God with giving him his talent and wants to use it for its intended purpose.
