Background and Inspiration: Sarah has been creating art since she was six years old and has loved it ever since. In high school, she took every art class she could, and along the way, won art show awards for the school. Art is something she mostly does for herself, using it as a way to share her experiences of emotion and thought with the world, when so many minds are closed to spoken words. 

This piece is based on recovery, and how it will never be a linear path. The millipede twists and turns every segment of its body and segment of its life, though, trying to find a greener pasture.
